Lineups: Mariners turn to Taijuan Walker in another must-win vs A’s
Sep 30, 2016, 3:33 PM
The Mariners are hoping for a strong outing from up-and-down starter Taijuan Walker as he will get the ball in another must-win game against the Athletics.
If Seattle loses and both Baltimore and Toronto win on Friday, the Mariners would be mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.
Walker is coming off back-to-back starts where he gave up three runs and lasted 5 1/3 innings, but his start before that was a dazzling three-hit, complete game shutout of the Angels. Seattle would certainly welcome a performance like that against the A’s.
There are no surprises Mariners’ lineup, as the same batting order they started Thursday with is untouched to face Oakland righty Raul Alcantara.
You can catch the game at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle. Coverage starts with the pregame show at 6.
