Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is still on track to play Sunday against the Jets despite his sprained knee, according to coach Pete Carroll.
That has been the indication all week from Carroll and from Wilson, who said Thursday that there’s “no doubt” in his mind that he’ll play despite his sprained MCL. Carroll gave the latest confirmation during his weekly appearance on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, which aired Friday.
“He’s ready to go,” Carroll told Dori Monson. “How he’s doing it, it’s kind of hard to figure because a lot of guys might not have been able to make it through it, but he has. He looked great during the week of practice. This was the best week since he hurt his ankle a few weeks back. So he feels great. He’s looking forward to it and away we go. ”
Wilson has been listed as a full participant in practice both Wednesday and Thursday, as has been the case since he sprained his ankle in Seattle’s opener.
Here’s what John Clayton as well as Danny O’Neil have written about how Wilson’s limited mobility will impact Sunday’s game against the Jets.
