Huskies junior tight end Derrick Brown has been indefinitely suspended for a violation of team rules, and freshman defensive back Lavon Washington has been dismissed from the team for a separate and unrelated violation, the school’s athletic department announced in a statement Saturday.

Brown, from Winchester, Calif., started at UW as a quarterback, but transitioned to H-back in 2013. In his career, he has completed 2-of-5 passes for 23 yards, and rushed twice for -7 yards.

Washington, from Oakland, Calif., came to Montlake after earning All-East Bay honors as a senior for McClymonds High School in 2013.
