Leach is doing what he does, what WSU needs

Mike Leach’s actions following Washington State’s blowout loss to Utah on Saturday have some questioning whether he’s going too far with public criticisms of his players.

Leach called into question his team’s effort and courage during the postgame press conference, saying – among other things – that the play of the Cougars’ offensive line “borders on cowardice.”

Leach was critical of himself and his coaching staff as well, but the extent to which he called out his players has rubbed some the wrong way.

In the video below, Mike Salk says Leach’s actions are neither surprising nor out of line.
