Nelson Cruz is out of the lineup and Kyle Seager is hitting cleanup for the Mariners in the second and final game of their series in Pittsburgh.
Cruz is resting a day after he was removed in the seventh inning after he hit his foot with a foul ball for the second time in recent weeks.
Mike Zunino is starting at catcher again for the Mariners, and James Paxton is on the mound and hitting ninth in the National League ballpark.
Game 2 of Mariners-Pirates is set for 4:05 on 710 ESPN Seattle, with the pregame show starting at 3.
