Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke with the media during his regular Monday press conference and provided the latest injury updates after a number of players underwent testing following Sunday’s game.

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson: “He has a strained pectoral muscle — a high-grade strain or whatever,” Carroll said. “We just have to wait and see. He had a MRI and it showed that there was some stuff there and we just have to see how he responds. He did rehab today.” Carroll said that as of now the injury does not require surgery and that the plan is to rest and rehab Jackson throughout the week.

Tight end Zach Miller: Miller had an MRI on his neck Monday after suffering a blow to the head during the game. According to Carroll, Miller remains sore and is still awaiting the final test results.

Linebacker Leroy Hill: Hill left Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter with a mild hamstring injury and is expected to sit out practice the next couple of days.

Linebacker Jameson Konz: “Konz has an ACL injury (knee) and I think that sounds like a surgery situation for us,” Carroll said. Konz was recently activated to the active roster from the practice squad.

Running back Marshawn Lynch: “He got his ankle sprained,” Carroll said. “The first play of the game, a guy landed right on the ankle that he had injured before. I don’t know this but I think it might have been a re-injury because he really got squashed on. He came back and played but he’s hobbling around a little right now.” Lynch is not expected to practice this week.

Left tackle Russell Okung: “Yeah, he’s fine,” Carroll said of Okung missing a play in Sunday’s game. “I asked him after the game, I said, ‘Russ, what happened?’ He said, ‘Nothing, I’m fine.’ I said, ‘Come on, Russ, tell me.’ He says, ‘Nothing happened. Get out of here. Leave me alone. I’m okay.’ He didn’t want to talk about it. So, he’s fine.” Okung reportedly had injured his ankle.

Wide receiver Mike Williams: “Mike should be fine with the rest that he’s had this week,” Carroll. “He should be fine and be able to practice and go.” Williams will have to have cleared the league-mandated concussion testing to return to practice on Tuesday.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant: “Marcus we don’t know about,” Carroll said. “He was MRI’d today also. He actually got this injury in the game (against Atlanta) and it didn’t really show up until the middle of Wednesday’s practice. It was a very unusual lower back situation — not the same one he had before, it’s different than the issue he had before. But he sustained a bruised sacrum, which is kind of hard to even get to it.”

The Seahawks practice on Tuesday and Wednesday before breaking for the bye week Thursday through Sunday.
