The latest developments in Peyton Manning’s free-agent tour suggest that the Seahawks’ chances of signing the quarterback are dwindling, if not done.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter report that, according to sources, the Seahawks and Chiefs are “no longer considered contenders” after Manning declined each team’s offer to meet. The Denver Post reported the same thing. Eric Williams of the Tacoma News Tribune cites a team source as saying that Manning hasn’t turned down an invitation to meet with Seahawks brass.
