Lineups: Twins-Mariners, Game 3
May 29, 2016, 11:19 AM | Updated: 11:22 am
Taijuan Walker takes the mound for the Mariners Sunday to try and salvage the series against Minnesota. Walker has had success against the AL Central throughout his career, with a 6-2 record that includes a 3.31 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 11 starts.
Franklin Gutierrez has also been hot and will get another start but at DH, with Nelson Cruz slated for right field. Guti has hit safely in five straight games, including two multi-hit games, since May 21.
Although Seattle dropped the first two games of the set, the Mariners still have the second-best record in the American League and sit a half-game ahead of the Rangers in the AL West.
First pitch at Safeco Field is set for 1:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle, with the pregame show beginning at noon.
