Video: Mariners’ Nelson Cruz hits ball completely out of Safeco during batting practice

There has long been speculation regarding who, if anybody, would be the first person to hit a ball completely out of Safeco Field.
Speculate no more. Nelson Cruz is that man.
With his final swing of batting practice before Saturday’s game against the Twins, the Mariners slugger cleared the left-field bleachers to deposit a ball onto Royal Brougham Way.

Cruz is no stranger to the upper deck in left field, having found the seats many a time in his two seasons with Seattle.
Now there’s a new question: Will anybody ever hit a ball completely out of Safeco during a game?
