Alex Smith threw three interceptions in the 49ers’ 26-3 home loss to the Giants on Sunday.

So, Smith, having been a major disappointment until his breakout season in 2011, must be on thin ice, right? And the 49ers must be seething after being soundly beaten by the same team that kept them out of the Super Bowl last season, right?

Not exactly, according to Bob Stelton and Dave Grosby.
