Seven Seahawks did not participate in practice on Wednesday.

As expected, both guard James Carpenter and linebacker K.J. Wright did not participate and will continue to undergo the league-mandated concussion testing until cleared to return to the field.

Wide receiver Braylon Edwards continues to sit out with a knee injury, but is expected to return later in the week.

Running back Marshawn Lynch, who is regularly given rest days for back spasms, was also listed on the practice report this week with a wrist injury.

New additions to the injury report include defensive end Red Bryant (foot), safety Kam Chancellor (quadriceps) and defensive lineman Clinton McDonald (groin).

Defensive tackle Jason Jones (ankle) returned to practice and was a limited participant.

The Seahawks activated cornerback Walter Thurmond from the Physically Unable to Perform list, completing his comeback from two leg fractures. Wide receiver Charly Martin, who was released on Tuesday, cleared waivers and was signed back to Seattle’s practice squad.
