Seattle’s Russell Wilson ranks 27th among NFL quarterbacks in pass attempts this season with 280, which averages out to just over 25 per game.
He attempted 27 in Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins, after which the Seahawks’ offensive brain trust was criticized for what some deemed overly conservative play-calling. Some of that criticism stemmed from the decisions to punt on fourth-and-short situations in Dolphins territory, some from Seattle sticking with the run even though that hadn’t been working.
