The Seahawks have re-signed wide receiver Deon Butler and released cornerback Ron Parker, the team announced Friday.

Butler rejoins the Seahawks four days after the team released him. He did not make the team out of training camp but was signed on Dec. 15 when injuries left the team short-handed at receiver. He played in one game before he was released.

The Seahawks signed Parker on Dec. 5 from the Panthers’ practice squad. He played in two games, mostly on special teams. There is less need for depth at cornerback now that Richard Sherman has won his appeal with the NFL and avoided a four-game suspension.

Update: The team has also released defensive tackle Hebron Fangupo and promoted linebacker Allen Bradford from the practice squad. Leroy Hill (hamstring) is listed a questionable, necessitating extra depth at linebacker.
