The Mariners are sending the King to the hill to battle the defending champs.
Felix Hernandez will take his 1.80 ERA to the mound to face the 2015 World Series champion Kansas City Royals in Friday night’s 7:10 game at Safeco Field, set to air on 710 ESPN Seattle with the pregame show starting at 6.
Worth noting: a win Friday or Saturday would guarantee that Seattle will finish the month of April with a record over .500, something the team has done only once (2009) in the last 12 seasons.
