RENTON – A long wait to make their first-round pick will be a little longer for the Seahawks, who have traded the 26th overall pick to Denver.
Seattle gets the Broncos’ first-round pick, which is No. 31 overall, and their third-round selection, which is No. 94 overall.
Denver used the 26th pick on Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch.
Seattle now has 10 selections in the draft, including five among the first 100. Those picks: Nos. 31, 56, 90, 94, 97, 124, 171, 215, 225, 247.
It’s the fifth time in as many drafts that Seattle has traded its first round pick. The Seahawks moved back in the first round in 2012 before selecting Bruce Irvin and traded out of the first round in 2014. Seattle included its first-round pick in pre-draft trades in 2013 for Percy Harvin and again last year for Jimmy Graham.
