The Seahawks have released D’Anthony Smith, the defensive tackle they acquired in a trade with Jacksonville a week before the season began.
The team made the announcement Tuesday. No corresponding roster move was announced.
Seattle sent an undisclosed draft pick to Jacksonville to acquire Smith on Aug. 31. He recorded five tackles over the first two games and was inactive during Sunday’s win over the Jaguars.
