RENTON — The Seahawks claimed a quarterback on waivers, and it’s hard to tell what’s more newsworthy: that the quarterback was B.J. Daniels or the fact he was claimed from San Francisco.
Daniels was chosen in the seventh round out of the University of South Florida this year. He is 6 feet tall and is a dual-threat quarterback who can run.
The Seahawks released rookie linebacker John Lotulelei to make room for Daniels on the 53-man roster.
It continues a series of roster moves between the two division rivals as San Francisco signed receiver Ricardo Lockette after he was let go by Seattle last year and continued, signing receiver Chris Harper off the Seahawks’ practice squad earlier this year.
