Seahawks to play without C Max Unger, TE Zach Miller

INDIANAPOLIS – Not only did the Seahawks not get center Max Unger back – as coach Pete Carroll hoped earlier this week – but tight end Zach Miller is out with a hamstring injury.

And while Miller isn’t an offensive lineman per se, he is a capable blocker whose absence will leave Seattle’s pass protection further exposed a week after the team allowed five sacks in Houston.

It’s the first game Miller has missed since the middle of 2011. Unger is missing his second consecutive game with a triceps injury, meaning Lemuel Jeanpierre will start at center.

Rookie defensive tackle Jordan Hill – who missed the first four games because of a biceps injury – is active for the first time this season.

Other Seattle inactives: cornerback Jeremy Lane (hamstring), running back Spencer Ware (ankle), right tackle Breno Giacomini (knee), quarterback B.J. Daniels and defensive end Benson Mayowa.

Indianapolis’ inactives: safety LaRon Landry, fullback Stanley Havili, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, offensive tackle Xavier Nixon, linebacker Bjoern Werner, defensive tackle Montori Hughes and defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois.
