The Seahawks will likely be without middle linebacker Bobby Wagner when they host the Titans on Sunday, coach Pete Carroll told “The Morning News” on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM Friday.
Wagner sprained his ankle in Seattle’s loss to Indianapolis last week, and while he was able to finish the game, he was unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday.
“He’s hobbling pretty good this week,” Carroll said.
Weakside linebacker K.J. Wright would slide inside in Wagner’s absence. It would be Wright’s second career start at middle linebacker, a position he played during Week 1 of his rookie season in 2011 when starter David Hawthorne was injured.
Malcolm Smith and O’Brien Schofield are options to start at weakside linebacker in place of Wright.
