Coach Pete Carroll wouldn’t confirm that wide receiver Percy Harvin is set to make his Seahawks debut Sunday againt Minnesota.

“We don’t know that yet,” he told “The Morning News” on KIRO Radio Friday.

Well, let’s say hypothetically that he does, coach. How much would he play?

“Everybody needs to be kind of brought along, we think,” Carroll said. “If he should be able to play, we’ll pick and choose our snaps like we would do in a first game for a guy going into preseason. They play about a quarter of the game. That’s kind of the thinking. We don’t want to give him too much too soon.”

Harvin was Seattle’s marquee offseason addition, acquired from Minnesota in exchange for three draft picks and then signed to a six-year contract worth more than $60 million. He hasn’t played a snap yet for the Seahawks after undergoing surgery on his hip in August, and only began practicing with the team three weeks ago.

The fact that Harvin was a full participant in practice Thursday bodes well for his chances of playing Sunday.
