Divisional-round scenarios for top-seeded Seahawks

The Seahawks will wait until Jan. 11 to play their first playoff game, and they may have to wait until the final game of next weekend’s wild-card round to know who they’re playing.
As the top seed, Seattle will play the lowest-remaining seed in the NFC playoffs. That’s one of three teams:
Seattle will play the Saints if they beat the Eagles on Saturday evening, that game starting at 5 Pacific in Philadelphia. The Saints are the No. 6 seed in the NFC, the lowest of all teams in the field. If New Orleans beats Philadelphia, the No. 3 seed, the Saints will be the lowest-remaining seed regardless of the outcome of the Packers-49ers game on Sunday.
If the Eagles win, they will advance to play at Carolina, the No. 2 seed. Seattle would then host the winner of Sunday’s game between the 49ers and Packers at Lambeau Field. Green Bay is the No. 4 seed, San Francisco the No. 5 seed.
