The Seahawks have signed rookie wide receiver Kevin Smith, an undrafted free agent who played at the University of Washington.
Williams caught 50 passes for a team-high 765 yards and four touchdowns during his senior season at UW. He initially signed with the Cardinals, who released him earlier this month. Williams was then claimed by Jacksonville and released last week.
The Seahawks had an opening on their 90-man roster after releasing rookie defensive tackle Andru Pulu on Tuesday. Seattle now has 13 receivers on its roster.
